Tetley Tea Folk Just The Way You Are

Tetley, the British tea brand, has launched a new television commercial featuring Sydney, one of the Tetley Tea Folk, singing Billy Joel’s 1970s song “Just the Way You Are”. The ad is the fourth in the Tea Folk come-back series launched in September 2010. But in true Sydney style he cannot quite hit all of the notes and forgets some of the words. The Tetley Tea Folk have their own website, Youtube channel, Twitter and Facebook accounts. The Tetley Tea Folk will be back with an ad for Tetley Extra Strong on 22nd October and Tetley Green Tea in January 2012.

Tetley Tea Folk are back!!- Part 1 & 2 and The Honey Monster Returns

Last night the second installment of the Tetley Tea Folk - We are back! adverts aired. I am extremely pleased that they are back because they bring a warm and friendly approach to the adverts. the first installment was a big build up to re-introducing the Tetley Folk so television viewers only saw a glimpse of them. However last nights advert reminded viewers of why the Tetley Tea Folk were so popular. Here are the two adverts:

Other Comebacks
Britain’s most iconic yellow monster explodes back onto our screens in a charming television ad for Honey Waffles. The ad returns the Honey Monster to his true self and draws on his monster personality and undying love of honey. The campaign will extend online across kid’s websites. Here is The Advert:

Should Be Comebacks

Do you remember the Hunger Monster from the Shreddies adverts? i miss them. Although the Grannies knitting idea was a good one in theory, it does not work as well as this:

Tetley Tea Folk are back!!

Nine years after they were unceremoniously dumped from Tetley's TV adverts, the much-loved Tetley Tea Folk made their return to our screens last night. In the ad, which made its debut during Coronation Street, a spilled drop of 'steaming Tetley tea' awakes and releases Gaffer, Sydney and the rest of the gang from their slumbering prison.
"We're back!" exclaims cheery boss Gaffer. The Tea Folk were retired in 2001 when Tetley was bought by the Indian tea producer Tata, and will now surely be seeking a tea-thirsty revenge.
"I've never been so excited when watching an advert," said one YouTube commenter. "They should never have been scrapped anyway. That's better, That's Tetley."
Find out more at the Tetley Tea Folk website, watch the old Tetley adverts on YouTube and follow the Tea Folk on Facebook and Twitter.
