Iconic Women - Madonna Update

Hello readers about a week ago I think I showed you the beginnings of my illustration of Madonna for my Iconic Women Project. Here is how it stands at the moment.

I am very happy with how it is going it almost has a graphic novel feel about it! I almost finished I just need to add the typography and finish the background and ropes. Let me know what you think so far and I will update the finished illustration soon!

Iconic Women - Madonna Working Progress

Hello I am currently extremely busy hence the lack of updates with my Iconic Women Project. I am currently sifting through a 4000 word essay and will be handing in a 3000 word essay next week! But I thought I would show my lovely readers my working progress through the Madonna Illustration. So here is what I have done so far:

So as you can see this is a very rough start to the illustration! I need to clean up the lines and add more line detail and then colour and shading. I chose this stance for Madonna because she a fighter and fights for her position in the pop industry by always re-inventing herself. I am still looking for a quote to go with the illustration....so any suggestions would be very welcome!

Fashion Illustrations

Recently I have been inspired many fashion illustrators, so I thought I would have a go. The images below are not completed. I am planning to sew on red sequins to the illustration with the red dress and I am going to make feathers out of paper and glue them on for the blue illustration. I will keep you posted with updated images.

My Feature on SketchBook Magazine's Blog

I have been very secretive about a recent project I was doing for SketchBook Magazine. I was asked to create a comic about Arsenal football club. I really enjoyed injecting some fantasy into the game. Here are the illustrations:

Doing Make Up Like Mummy

A few days ago I posted a blog about all the illustrations that I have completed in the past couple of weeks. I mentioned that along with others I would be doing an illustration about children dressing up. I finished the one below today. It will be the first of two that will be about dressing up, this one is make up and the next will be dressing up in clothes. Hopefully part 2 will be up soon.

Big Cartel Store and Facebook Group

As you may have noticed I have been joining various groups. Here are some that I have joined

Big Cartel

All of these websites are great. I have been updating my website ALOT and I really wanted my "shop" to have the same house style as my website. Also I want to hopefully make a bigger profit.
This is what Big Cartel provide. I have opted for the gold membership which is free, but there are more advanced memberships that allow in depth HTML/CSS customization. So I have now linked the store nicely to my website (website will be updated soon).
Here is my Store: Lisa Holland Design

Facebook

I have been a member of Facebook since starting university and have decided that the networking that can be done through it is fantastic.
So I have also made my own facebook group which is also named Lisa Holland Design.

Zazzle Store

Today I was on hunt for a new mouse mat. I wanted an unusual one and came across Zazzle.com. I then noticed that you can design your own items. So I decided to join Zazzle and start up my own store. Here is the link to my store.

Here is the mouse Mat that I have designed for myself and have put up for sale:

Society 6

I recently came across the Society 6 website

The website allows artists to upload their work to be seen by many other artists in the Society 6 community and non members of Society 6 . Also by uploading it allows for the work to be made available to sell ( a small fee is required for this privilege). When a piece of artwork is chosen Society 6 produce the product, package it and ship it for you saving production costs (Society 6 do take a cut form the profit).

Here is studio on society 6: http://www.society6.com/lisaholland

and some artwork that I will be selling:
